
A good deal of time was spent making renders off of the reference images. It’s typically good to have a reference image to start with for the purposes of fixing poses to make them look realistic.
I personally think that having the subtle shifts in renders as well as the dawning realization, drawing the moment out, helps to convey the feelings and desperation the characters will ultimately end up feeling.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but unfortunately, I’m not gifted with a series of moving pictures here. So I’ll need to add dialogue that properly conveys her sense of discovery, despair.

And eventually a soul-crushing lamentation.
