This weekend, I’ve been busy redoing some renders from the April Pack. In my haste, I rendered one set of animations with Sam’s dry hair still showing…. so sorry about that.
Some of these details get missed unless I’m really delving into things… The unfortunate side of doing this project as my hobby is that I don’t quite spend as much time on it as I would like to, for the quality to be quite where I want.
Life always seems to have a way of sending conflicting messages and priorities to pull me away.
But, well… this weekend, I’ve been working on the hidden character sheet component. I’m still missing a few bits, but the first page of it is nearly done for what I want.

This is modeled off of the VtM character sheet, though some disciplines will end up being pruned. Lust is the stand-in for Hunger, and I’m still working on the Health and Willpower display, as you can see above.
One technique I’ve done for this was the throw up a new small Renpy project, which would then serve as my sandbox for getting the components in the right place.
This tends to save time when it’s separate from the main project, as it helps me avoid the attestation messages on startup and get right towards working on the screen.
I need to think a little bit more on the health and willpower logic, as there’s superficial vs aggravated damage that’s in the system, and it makes those UI components a little bit ugly to calculate.
But well… that’s where I’m at. My computer’s pretty much running 24/7 now, whether it’s rendering an animation or simulating dForce behavior.
All in all though… it’s been a nice, productive weekend. And I’m hoping that during this upcoming week, I’ll be able to incorporate my full changes into the mod.
This is probably a screen I don’t intend on calling much in the game… with maybe the exception of the game over screens as a way to show where your character was actually measuring up.
This is to avoid over meta-gaming by the players. Though I also intend on making it appear when Sam or whatever the main character is named as answers a psych evaluation towards the end of when his initial stats should be set in the game.
That should… hopefully happen at the end of either week one or two, shortly after he officially gets inducted into the gang, with much fanfare.
Fun times. So many ideas! So much to do! Not enough time!
