It’s been a while since my last update. If any of you all have seen this image before, that’s a lie. What you’re thinking of is saddog’s T4 image, which has been somewhat lovingly recreated here, though it’s not an exact replica (if you pay attention to some of the details).
I figured I needed to post an update for what’s been going on. Life’s been pretty busy with real world work stuff. My team has apparently been getting swamped with multiple projects running in tandem at a point in time when we’re also supporting a pretty large data maintenance project that’s probably going to take into September of this year.
That said, it’s not much of an excuse for the lack of posts on this site. I’ve been working in the background on a Nicole scene associated with the very image above. It’s got a lot of parts to it, and I’ve posted most of the images to my Subscribestar already.
I was fortunate in getting one person to subscribe, so I’m making update packs to post to them for their investment in this project.
On the project front, apart from the Nicole scene renders, I’ve also been working on some of the logic for the skill checks that will be taking place, as well as doing some research into the FuckOmatic plugin by esteban gonzales: https://f95zone.to/threads/fuckomatic-daz-script-v1-55-esteban-gonzales.186584/
It’s actually something of what I was looking for- a toolkit tailor made to make Daz animation a smoother user experience.
So I’ve been reading a bit up on it, though for this month, the goals I have project-wise are to go through the Blender Alive Animation course.
My hope is that by going through this course, I’ll get more accustomed to the toolkits used inside of animation work, and thus, be able to break down the pieces I would need in order to make the animations better.
I’ve been watching some of Nagoonimation’s work, and damn… that’s just plain impressive. I hope to be able to get to some percentage of that professional’s skill. Here’s a link for a preview of some of it, if any of you all happen to be interested:
