Now that January has passed, it is time I did some accounting and reflecting of the status of my goals reached in January, and how I generally felt about it.

First off, among my six goals, one of them, I just realized, had some of the underlying assumptions altered, so I plan on modifying my acceptance criteria for that goal. Needless to say, I will carry on here without a full analysis of that goal for brevity’s sake.

In terms of The Tyrant progress, I am happy to say that I’ve gone through an initial port of the script.rpy, intro.rpy, tutorial.rpy, and variables.rpy files. I’ve largely adapted those systems and scripts into what I wanted the modded game to be like. Although I only had 14 days I credited myself with successfully accomplishing my Tyrant objective over the course of the month, I feel that since I hit the initial goal I had set out, I can give myself a pass on that, even if, percentage-wise, the activity rate was only 45% engagement. Let’s just set the grade at… 85%, as there’s room for improvement.

For my job, I have pretty much gone through the month without complaints and some pretty satisfactory progress from my perspective, so I’ll give myself an A/96.7%, since there was only one day where I goofed on one of my personal goals there.

For my exercise goal, I’m glad to say I’ve basically hit my running goal every day of the month except for two. I wasn’t as rigorous on the rest of the exercise portion (hitting 10 situps/10 pushups/10 squats) every day, but that isn’t necessarily the hardest part. Plus, I’ve been able to hit the final goal as of when I last conducted it, so I’m giving myself a 93.5%/A- passing grade there.

I’ve also contacted my family/done personal oral hygiene stuff some 14 days out of the month, for a 45% engagement, but this, I think is also an A, as it was pretty consistent engagement with the family.

My last goal, to limit my gaming on Steam for non-AVN games over the course of the year… has kind of been a bit mixed. I think I hit about 100 hours in Satisfactory in the first two weeks of the month, but then, I held off on playing other games. Ultimately, I ended up spending about the same amount of time in AVN games, padding out the time ultimately spent on Steam to probably a similar range of numbers. Nonetheless, I have successfully limited myself to only playing one non-AVN game this month.

So I guess I would get 50% on that secondary goal… but I don’t entirely know where to grade myself on the primary one. I guess I’ll give myself a C/70% on that for now until I’m able to further assess where I’m at with it.

All in all, averaging these five categories comes out to 89.04, which is alright, but still room for improvement. I think if I can hit 96% or higher, I’d probably be fully happy with my progress towards my goals.

I had originally set six goals for myself at the beginning of 2025.
